There is so much to do in the Costa Ballena region!

Use Hotel Tropical Sands Dominical as your home base and venture off daily to your chosen activity. Ask the Reception for ways to get to and from if you do not have a car, as many Tour Operators will offer transportation for the days tour.

 

There are 4 waterfalls surrounding Dominical. There are 2 Wildlife Sanctuaries (Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary and Parque Reptilandia) . Kayaking (in the ocean & in the mangroves), Tubing down the river and several launch points for White Water Rafting are great day trips. There are 4 Zip Lines in the area, all according to your desired adventure level. We can help you sign up for half or full day Sports Fishing boats. Hacienda Baru has great birding and nature walks at a 10 minute drive north of Dominical. 

In Dominical, we have amazing Dance, Pilates and Yoga studio for classes for your daily meditation and exercise. Seasonally we have Turtle Releases on the beach out in front of the Hotel. Also seasonally, Whale Watching, when the mothers are birthing or couples mating. Try Paragliding, landing on Dominical beach. The launch location is only at a 20minutes up the mountain from the Hotel, transportation included.

We can organize Cooking Classes, Chocolate Farm & Tours, Vanilla & Spice Farm tours. Want to learn or better your Spanish? We can have a teacher come to you and have private classes in the garden. Just ask at the Reception or send us an email to set you up!
